The continued warning strikes by ground staff also caused numerous Lufthansa flight cancellations on Friday.
Once again, only 10 to 20 percent of the originally planned flights will take place, a company spokesman said on Friday.
This means that around 1,000 flights will be canceled again, especially at the Munich and Frankfurt hubs.
Frankfurt/Main - In Frankfurt and Hamburg, passengers were able to board again on Friday after the checkpoints for the security area remained closed the day before due to an additional strike by security staff.
Verdi wants to continue the strike until Saturday morning at 7:10 a.m.
Lufthansa is therefore expecting initial delays and some cancellations for Saturday.
Air traffic should then return to normal during the morning.
