When it comes to Taurus deliveries, what could be a solution that saves everyone's face and helps Ukraine, which is in distress?
A comment.
Munich – The German Taurus debate has reached a dead end.
At the latest, with the intercepted conversation of the Bundeswehr officers and Olaf Scholz's word of power ("I am the Chancellor, and that's why this applies"), it is hardly conceivable that a rethinking of the question will occur.

The Union's request to vote on deliveries again in the Bundestag may once again cause the traffic light factions to be excited - but the majority for an actual decision remains a long way off.
Taurus deliveries to Ukraine: The search for a solution
So what could be a solution that saves face for everyone and helps Ukraine in distress?
Perhaps now would be the moment to examine a possibility that was already discussed at the turn of the year.
At that time there were reports of an offer from London: the federal government could export the “Taurus” to Great Britain, and the government there would then deliver further “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles to Kiev.
A similar model would be conceivable with France.
Tank deliveries were carried out several times via ring exchange.
Only with the Taurus did the Hofreiters and Strack-Zimmermanns reject it as too complicated and not effective enough.
Taurus has been discussed since November, four months later we are not one step further.
Vladimir Putin is probably laughing wryly at the German and European disputes.
It's time to work on a viable Plan B.
