In the midst of the adjustment measures aimed "against caste", the national government generated a strong controversy by
appointing
a 23-year-old girl
, with no work experience or university degree, as director of the
National Registry of Persons ( Renaper).
This is Geraldine Calvella, a young woman from Saladillo who actively participated in the libertarian's presidential campaign both in the territory and on social networks.
Since January 15, she has been director of Planning and Supervision of Documentation Centers, a position dependent on the General Directorate of Planning and Documentary Logistics within Renaper.
The controversy broke out on social networks, after the complaint from the X user @criminaalmambo, who shared a screenshot of the salary receipt that the young woman will receive.
According to that receipt, Calvella charges 2.7 million pesos.
Clarín consulted the veracity of that receipt, but still did not receive a response.
The national government confirmed the appointment to
Clarín
but downplayed the matter's relevance.
"She is a line director. It is a simple direction, with a remuneration similar to directors of the same rank and category, as established by the National Public Employment System (SINEP) with the increase agreed in February by the state joint organization. ", they responded to the queries.
Calvella had started working in April of last year as an advisor to the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of Buenos Aires.
Starting in January of this year, she began working in the Nation.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he had begun studying medicine at Maimónides University, but dropped out.
