“We expected an increase.

Our friends who received their receipt in July alerted us.

But not to this extent!

» In February, when Jean-Pierre and Jacqueline, retirees from Étréchy, received their water bill, they were shocked.

In the space of one year, the annual amount claimed by their supplier increased from 352 to 604 euros, an increase of more than 70%.

An increase due to the increase in surcharges on drinking water and sanitation voted by the community of communes Entre Juine et Renarde (CCEJR).

Faced with the reluctance of residents, the CCEJR is organizing a series of public meetings.

The next one, which is aimed at the inhabitants of Étréchy, takes place this Saturday, March 9 in the morning in the premises of the community of communes.

“The CCEJR is responsible for drinking water for seven municipalities and six for sanitation,” indicates the president of the CCEJR and mayor of Villeconin, Jean-Marc Foucher (without label).

Either we increase gently to carry out some work, with the risk of not being able to react in the event of an emergency, or we adopt a real vision.”
