Maurice Ravel was in the spotlight this week: for the anniversary of his death, a commemorative plaque was inaugurated with music on Thursday.

In the Rue des Martyrs, music lovers, musicians and Ravelians gathered to the sound of

Sad coincidence that the composer's name resonated a few days earlier with gloomy news, the Maurice-Ravel high school having found itself at the center of attention after its principal was threatened with death.

For asking a student to remove her veil, the head of the school was targeted on social networks.

After the teachers, the principals, and always this same disturbing music.

National Education staff, on the front line, fear for their physical integrity;

two of them lost their lives to Islamist terrorism, and every day the fear that new names will be added to those of Samuel Paty and Dominique Bernard takes them to the stomach.
