Since a young age, Enya Baroux has been immersed in the world of cinema and humor.
“I grew up with my father's favorite comedies more than with cartoons!”,
assures the fan of
Mister Bean

Mars Attacks!

After her high school years, she turned to the audiovisual industry: an obvious choice.
“I wanted to be an actress, and my parents told me “no”
,” reveals the young woman, who still laughs about it.

Pushed towards more technical training, the cinema student at ESRA multiplies the castings.
Diploma in hand, she became an assistant director for more than five years.
“It was while finally working on the sets that I said to myself “this is really what I want to do”
,” she recalls.
His father's advice
Enya Baroux then followed the advice of her father, the comedian and director Olivier Baroux.
“
It was he who told me to wear more hats
,”
recalls the director.
She directs her own short films and lands roles: a video clip for Vianney, the film
Visitor from the Future,
or series like
Cuisine Interne
and
Pamela Rose, the series.

The best advice my father gave me was to find my partner.

It's done with
Fleur Bleue
: the actress plays the main character and co-directs with her friend Martin Darondeau.
The duo met at ESRA and have since often worked together.

The show was created thanks to Studio Bagel, a Canal+ collective with which Enya Baroux has worked for almost twelve years.
Within what she calls an “
experience laboratory for actors
”, she stands out: the studio usually offers recognizable faces, including YouTubers like Natoo or Mister V.
“
We did it by saying to ourselves that we were happy to do it but it was a bit of a gamble,”
admits the director.

It's successful: their series only has one season of ten episodes, but it accumulates up to 400,000 views on YouTube.
This is without counting the views on the MyCanal platform.
According to the person concerned, season two is already being created by the Baroux-Darondeau duo and their screenwriter, Queenie Tassell.

“Daughter of”, so what?
The actress puts into perspective the appellation of
“daughter of”
which she inherits.
“Obviously having a father who works in the cinema industry is good
,” admits Enya Baroux, before emphasizing that she kept her feet on the ground thanks to her mother.
“She doesn’t care about show business and famous people,”
she says.
“And I grew up with her, all the same!”
The young woman also testifies to the passion that her father passed on to her:
“I saw my father happy when he went to work for years, obviously that makes you want to!”
She speaks without taboo about the small roles in her father's films, which her brother also had.
She emphasizes that if her father likes them to work together, it is only if the project lends itself to it.

The young woman has also been working on a feature film for several years.
“It’s going to be a comedy around a family road trip, with at the center a grandmother who secretly wants to go to Switzerland to have access to euthanasia,”
she announces with a smile.

Enya Baroux sees humor as a
“familiar vector”
that allows her to tackle difficult emotions head on.
She speaks of an education where things are put at a distance and treated through the absurd to better understand them:
