The main suspect in the attack on a woman that occurred on Saturday evening in Old Lyon surrendered to the police on Thursday according to information from Le

, confirmed by the Lyon prosecutor's office.
He was placed in police custody for aggravated intentional violence as part of the investigation opened after the victim's complaint, which had not required police intervention at the time of the events.
The eight seconds of image showing the attack had been broadcast by the far-right collective Némésis and viewed several hundred thousand times in a few hours.
They showed several men manhandling the young woman, one of whom punched her violently in the face, in Old Lyon.
The scene was also captured by video surveillance cameras on Quai Romain Rolland, in this festive district of the 5th arrondissement, where the events took place during the night of last Saturday to Sunday.
