The responsible technical committee of the city of Wolfratshausen has rejected the construction of accommodation for asylum seekers in the industrial area.

The asylum helper group cannot understand the decision.

Wolfratshausen - Many citizens are puzzled as to why the city council's building committee rejected a private investor's application to be allowed to build accommodation for asylum seekers in the commercial area (we reported).

The elected officials were aware that the district office would replace the so-called community agreement.

This means: The investor definitely gets building rights.

Sharp criticism of the building committee's decision comes from Ines Lobenstein, the head of the asylum helper group.

“Not on the moon”: Helpers’ group criticizes the rejection of asylum accommodation in the commercial area

The developer plans to build two three-story buildings and one single-story container building on the property at Hans-Urmiller-Ring 49.

According to Sebastian Sens from the town hall planning and environment department, the two “apartment buildings” will be almost 50 meters long, six meters deep and a maximum of nine meters high.

The one-story annex building, in which, among other things, rooms are planned for security and social services, will be 20 meters long, six meters deep and 3.40 meters high.

According to Sens, in the inner courtyard there will be “among other things, opportunities for sporting activities as well as green lounge areas including a playground”.

The entire process is delayed by up to three months

Green City Councilor Dr.

Hans Schmidt expressed his satisfaction at the meeting of the building committee: The location of the “residential complex” near the bus stop on the B11 and the supermarkets Aldi, Rewe and Lidl is “favorable”.

The investor “thought carefully” about creating a football and children’s playground on the approximately 2,800 square meter area, noted Schmidt.

The majority of the committee members still voted against the construction of the asylum accommodation - in the knowledge that the district office, as the higher-level approval authority, would correct this decision.

The truth also includes: District Administrator Josef Niedermaier (Free Voters) has assured Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner (BVW) that the multi-purpose hall in Farchet - currently an initial reception facility for refugees - will be available to athletes again as soon as the new accommodation in the commercial area is ready for occupancy.

According to Heilinglechner, the rejection of the building application means: the entire process will be delayed by up to three months.

As a result, the Farcheter Hall remains occupied for longer.

Ines Lobenstein cannot understand the vote of the technical committee against this background.

“The refugees are coming whether we or the district administrator want them or not,” she writes on our newspaper’s Facebook page.

“Apparently there is more demand for hall occupancy,” she comments on the building committee’s decision.

Lobenstein states: “Good integration services could very well take place in the new accommodation.

Our commercial area is not on the moon.

Proper accommodation in a commercial area would definitely be preferable to accommodation in a sports hall.” The decision has nothing to do with how many refugees still arrive in Wolfratshausen.

It's all about “more sensible accommodation and hopefully emptying the multi-purpose hall”.

The latter “is merely delayed” due to the majority decision of the building committee.

Commitment from the district administrator with a view of the sports hall in the Farchet district

Mayor Heilinglechner argued similarly at the meeting on Wednesday evening.

He pointed out to the city councilors several times that the district authority would not accept an answer because the building application was legally watertight.

In addition, he has an oral and written promise from the district administrator that the initial reception center in Farchet will be closed if the “substitute accommodation” is in the commercial area.

District Administrator Niedermaier assured this in a phone call shortly before the meeting.

If the building application were rejected, this would only “result in a delay of up to twelve weeks” until the investor received a building permit from the district building authority.

The deputy mayor now sees the district authority as responsible

Seven out of ten committee members chose this route.

“The district office should replace the community agreement,” said Deputy Mayor Günther Eibl (CSU).

Then the district authority would be responsible and would be the “point of contact for all complaints”.

Last but not least, “the district administrator must then keep his promise” – and return the multi-purpose hall in Farchet to its intended purpose.

This is exactly what Niedermaier promised, says Heilinglechner.

Also in the event that the building committee approves the application.
