With his eyes shining, Paul is in heaven.
This Friday, March 8, on the banks of Thérain, in Beauvais (Oise), he is participating in the restocking of his river, the one where he will take his first steps as a fisherman with his father Maxime.
On the eve of the opening of the fishing season, 300 kg of 500 g brown trout are poured into the river.
Five other restocking operations will be scheduled between now and August.
“Don’t dump them all in the same place, otherwise they will stay together,” advises Alain Ridel, Beauvais fishery warden.
“They must take possession of their new territory,” he continues.
And a few hundred meters from where they were dumped, they will find a protected area where fishing will be prohibited.
