A fire broke out in the “Peaches” nightclub in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Saturday night.

Around 100 people were evacuated.

Six people suffered minor injuries.

The fire department quickly extinguished the fire.

GAP - According to the police, there was heavy smoke in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen nightclub “Peaches” on Marienplatz on the night of Friday (March 8th) to Saturday (March 9th).

Shortly before three o'clock a fire broke out in the attic toilets.

Thick smoke reached the ground floor, where the guests were celebrating.

According to police information, around 100 people had to be evacuated.

A total of six people were slightly injured by inhaling smoke fumes.

According to the police, the fire caused material damage amounting to around 10,000 euros.

Shortly before three o'clock on Saturday a fire broke out in the toilets at the "Peaches" in Garmisch - the fire department arrived

The Garmisch fire department arrived.

Commander Peter Gröbl was immediately on site with 50 active personnel and five vehicles.

The extinguishing attack was started using respiratory protection and hose lines.

Thanks to the quick intervention, the fire was just prevented from spreading.

“We quickly got the fire under control.

The smoke was blown outside using an overpressure fan,” said Gröbl.

After the fire was brought outside, the volunteers were able to give the all-clear.

After two hours, the fire brigade returned to the firehouse.
