Washington, DC - Negotiations for a ceasefire between the United States and Israel appear to have stalled.
Meanwhile, the civilian death toll in the Gaza Strip continues to rise.
US President Joe Biden expressed frustration with the attitude of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In an informal conversation with Senator Michael Bennet of Colorado, Biden expressed frustration with the situation and said he would have a conversation with Netanyahu to facilitate humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Destruction in the Gaza Strip: More than 30,000 people have been killed since the war began, according to the Hamas-controlled health authority.

Ceasefire before Ramadan: Negotiations between Israel and Hamas stall
The US President had also hoped that Israel and Hamas could agree on a ceasefire before the start of Ramadan.
Ramadan has a special meaning for Islamist and militant movements like Hamas in the so-called holy war.
According to media reports, a Hamas spokesman has already called for a march to the al-Aqsa Mosque on Jerusalem's Temple Mount during Ramadan.
Israel-Gaza war: No agreement on a ceasefire in sight
Despite efforts by the US, Egypt and Qatar to act as mediators between the warring parties, an agreement on a ceasefire is not yet in sight.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Friday that the problem in the negotiations was Hamas.
“The ball is in their court,” Blinken said during a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Washington.
“We are working intensively on it.”

In his recent public State of the Union address, Biden emphasized the urgent need to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza amid the conflict.
He warned that humanitarian assistance should not be used as leverage and called on all parties involved to prioritize the needs of civilians.

While his microphone was still on, Biden announced in a supposedly private session that he intended to confront Netanyahu: "I told Bibi, 'You and I are going to have a Come To Jesus meeting,'" he said Biden, using the Israeli leader's nickname.

Later, Biden reiterated that Netanyahu must facilitate more aid for the Gaza Strip, answering the question: "Yes, he must." (
