A house in which many young people are staying burns down in the Black Forest.
According to the operator, there are also underage refugees among them.
Sankt Märgen - The fire at a youth welfare facility in Sankt Märgen (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district) caused six-figure damage.
The fire broke out on Saturday morning for an initially unclear cause, the police said.
The house burned down completely and is uninhabitable.
Around 30 people were taken out of the building but were uninjured.
The police are investigating.
There were also underage refugees among the young people who lived in the house in the Black Forest, as Christian Thalmaier from the legal department of the Timeout Foundation reported upon request.
According to its own information, it operates the facility.
An employee who lived nearby noticed smoke around 7:45 a.m. and alerted the fire department.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated - but neither the young people nor employees feel safe in the place.
Other accommodation options were found for the young people, for example in Freiburg.
