A journey between classicism and the future through a series of sculptures that "do not represent unique voices, but rather original choral expressions in which the author, in the search for an ideal two-way relationship of humanistic trace with the other, expresses his own reflections on multiple aspects of our daily life, focusing in particular the focus of his symbolic narrative on war and pollution".

It is the story of the exhibition "Calogero Condello. Three-dimensional thinking. Classicity and the future", which will be inaugurated on 9 March in the Leonor Fini room of Magazzino 26 in Trieste.

On display, from 10 March to 5 May, a fascinating sequence of three-dimensional installations created by the artist in recent years.

"The speculative capacity typical of Mediterranean culture - writes the curator Marianna Accerboni - is reflected in the work of Condello, who knows how to summarize eurythmy, measure and passion in his works, enclosed and suspended in an art of conceptual inspiration, in which they recur the canons of classical and neoclassical beauty alongside other quality aesthetic choices, expressed along the lines of contemporaneity both in terms of form and in terms of their meaning".

The ecological theme thus imposes itself in the installation that simulates an unhealthy and metaphorical banquet, Man and mother nature, of 2021, while "the theme of war scratches our soul with the terracotta installation entitled Dilaniata created between 1995 and 2003".

And this is how "Condello expresses his own interpretation of contemporary reality and some of his most pressing problems. Tracing them back to a human scale, which represents the fulcrum and means of his original reflection and of his installations".

Meanwhile, three bronze sculptures have been placed in as many spaces in the center of Trieste to arouse the curiosity of citizens and tourists and invite them to visit the exhibition.
