The new Greek restaurant “Glykanisos” opens in Unterhaching in mid-March in the former “Kammerloher”.

In Unterhaching, a new restaurant will soon be opening in the former traditional restaurant “Kammerloher”: Greek specialties will be available there in the future.

Unterhaching - If you look closely, the economic change can be seen visually on the Unterhaching maypole, because the new signs have already been installed: "Glykanisos" is the name of the Greek restaurant that is expected to open on March 15th - until the beginning of November 2023, the traditional restaurant there offered " Kammerloher” offers their “Bavarian Styrian cuisine”.

90 seats indoors and up to 120 seats in the beer garden

The new innkeepers come from Oberhaching and run the “Restaurant Aphrodite” at the Deisenhofen train station.

The anticipation can already be read on the website, where it says: “With over 90 seats inside and up to 120 seats in the beer garden, we continue to impress both new and old guests with our Greek traditions.

On our menu you will find old classics as well as new Mediterranean creations, so come visit us and see for yourself!”

By the way, the old name lives on a bit; under “Glykanisos” on the new pub signs it says “Greek Flavors zum Kammerloher”.

Greek flavors in the traditional restaurant on Maypole Square - “Glykanisos” means anise in German, and Ouzo, the Greek schnapps, is famously made from it.

At the moment there is still a lot of work going on inside, and the “Glykanisos” should be ready for use from March 15th to toast the reopening.
