An investigation was opened after the discovery this Saturday morning of an anti-Christian tag on a wall of the Notre-Dame de Poissy collegiate church.
The inscription “Jesus NTM” for “Fuck your mother” appeared on the back of the 12th century building, a listed historic monument.
The tag was certainly made during the previous night, after midnight according to our information.
“I of course immediately asked the Police to carry out the usual observations and to consult the cameras so that we can quickly get our hands on the perpetrators”, reacted this Saturday the mayor (LR) of the city Sandrine Dos Santos who evokes her “anger” and her “indignation”.

“As mayor, guarantor of good understanding between the communities of our city, I provide my full support to the Catholic community targeted by this act,” adds the elected official.
More broadly, I know that every Pisciacais feels attached to our collegiate church which is a strong religious but also cultural place for each of us.

Karl Olive, MP (Renaissance) for the constituency, said for his part “I came to bring
my
support to Father Matthieu Berger and through him to the entire Catholic community”.
“Anti-religious acts are increasing in our country and no religion is spared,” also deplores the parliamentarian, former mayor of the city.
The latest was the discovery of Nazi and anti-Semitic tags near the Montbauron stadium in Versailles in January, the work of ultra-right activists.
