Jachenau/Walchensee – Drivers must expect traffic jams on St 2072 between Jachenau and Walchensee in the coming weeks.
The reason is construction work along the road.
St 2072 between Jachenau and Walchensee is partially closed for three weeks
From Monday, March 11th, the Weilheim State Building Authority will be carrying out construction work to secure rocks on the embankments along St 2072 between Walchensee and Jachenau.
For this purpose, the state road will be partially closed for three weeks.
As the building authority reports, the rock stabilization work had to be completed prematurely last fall due to the winter weather.
In order to complete this, a partial closure of the state road will be necessary starting next week.
Short-term full closures on St 2072 of 15 minutes possible - free travel on weekends
Traffic will be guided past the construction site using traffic lights.
According to the building authority, short-term full closures of up to 15 minutes may occur in individual cases for critical work.
In order to avoid major traffic jams on the weekends, the closure will be completely lifted from Friday evening to Monday morning.
Necessary rock stabilization work is also being carried out in the area of the closed state road towards Dingebach.
The route will also be closed to bicycle traffic from March 11th to 29th.
