“Objectively, it’s a beautiful room.

Noble, solemn without being austere, it embodies the image that litigants have of an assize court,” said Jérôme Hars, president of the Saintes judicial court (Charente-Maritime).

Built in the 19th century in a neoclassical style, this courthouse hosted the filming of the feature film “Anatomy of a Fall” in spring 2022.

Directed by Justine Triet, this legal drama has since conquered the planet and already has nearly 5 million admissions.

Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2023, this production also won six Césars, two Golden Globes and has five nominations for the Oscars, the 96th ceremony of which is being held this Sunday, March 10.
