The floor in Gröbenzell has presented its summer program with many well-known names.
Gröbenzell – No summer without Spider Murphy.
The legendary band, which has been making German music history for decades with catchy tunes like “Schikeria” and “Scandal imsperrgebiet,” seems to have a particularly close connection with the Bruck open-air region.
After the Munich cult rock'n'rollers crowned the Etage Festival in 2022 and performed in Olching last year, they will return to Gröbenzell on Friday, July 19th.
The day before, comedian Harry G opened the floor summer in the large parking lot on Oppelner Straße, which was then freed from cars and instead had full seating.
The cabaret artists Max Uthoff and Wolfgang Krebs round off the festival on July 20th and 21st.
Getting the Spider Murphy Gang under contract again in such a short time was “rather unusual,” said floor organizer Thomas Breitenfellner, as he and his event manager Stefanie Schmerber revealed the closely guarded secret for a long time.
Good connection with Spider-Frontman
The Gröbenzell organizational team has had a very close relationship with frontman Günther Sigl for years.
And this is obviously not just due to the special apple spritzer variety that is served on the floor and is so loved by Sigl that Breitenfellner always puts an extra carrier in the trunk for him when he leaves.
It wasn't until January that the 77-year-old stood on the indoor stage on the first floor with his own band - i.e. without Spider guitarist Barny Murphy and his colleagues.
Advance sales start this Saturday, March 9th at www.kultur-ticketshop.de.
Breitenfellner expects that the tickets for around 2,000 places will sell out quickly.
Harry G.
A similar boom is also evident at Harry G.
“The demand has never been so great,” says Breitenfellner, after advance sales for the cabaret evenings at Etage-Sommer have already been running for a few days.
Markus Stoll (that's Harry G's real name) has already been to Gröbenzell three times and is therefore just as much a part of the Etage family as Wolfgang Krebs, who will be the crowning open-air finale with his new program “Bavaria First” on July 21st.
In addition to Stoiber, Söder and Aiwanger, the eloquent quick-change artist has recently also parodied Robert Habeck.
“Cancer is also a long-time friend of the floor,” says Breitenfellner.

The next candidate for the illustrious circle is probably Max Uthoff.
Because the chief satirist from the ZDF station is also regularly in Gröbenzell.
On July 20th with his current “Everything in Wonderland” program.
The Etage Summer was “born out of necessity” in the middle of the Corona crisis in 2020 and was one of the first concert events during the pandemic in Bavaria.
Two years ago, top stars from the music scene really went to town.
Howard Carpendale, Vicky Leandros, Rainhard Fendrich, Konstantin Wecker and Michele took the reins.
Things continue after the European Football Championship
“This will never happen again,” said the posters back when the open-air event was organized as part of the local anniversary.
“And that remains unique,” says Breitenfellner.
But after a year-long break, “the visitors practically asked us to carry on.”
Which is why this year, after the European Football Championship and before the summer holidays, the four-day festival is being organized in a short time window from July 18th to 21st.
The former amateur footballer doesn't dare to predict whether it will be a summer fairy tale for the German footballers.
But Breitenfellner is absolutely certain that “there is definitely one on our floor.”
