Two people were injured in two altercations on Saturday evening and one died from his injuries on site.
The Hamburg police have started their investigation.
Hamburg – Several people were injured in two clashes in Hamburg on Saturday evening, March 9, 2024.
At around 7:15 p.m., several people clashed at the bus stop at Wandsbeker Marktplatz in the Wandsbek district.
Knife attack on Wandsbeker market square – victim had to be resuscitated on site
One man apparently suffered at least one stab wound.
Rescue workers had to resuscitate the victim on site.
The man was then transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A perpetrator could not yet be found on Saturday evening, the search is ongoing.
The crime scene at the bus stop on Wandsbeker Marktplatz was cordoned off over a large area.

Man apparently killed by multiple stab wounds – police can arrest possible perpetrator
In a second altercation that escalated around 7:17 p.m., a man was stabbed in a building at Am Saalehafen in the Kleiner Grasbrook district of Hamburg.
Arriving rescue workers, who initially “only” arrived with two ambulances and a fire engine, tried to resuscitate the victim on the first floor of the house - without success.
The Hamburg fire department responded to the Am Saalehafen building with several rescue workers.

Even an emergency doctor who was alerted was unable to revive the man.
At the same time, several police units searched the building for the possible perpetrator.
A man whose pants were smeared with blood was arrested on site.
As a precaution, his hands were wrapped in paper bags so as not to cover up any possible traces.
It is still unclear whether the arrested man is actually the perpetrator.
In both cases the investigations are still ongoing.
