Following the recent complaint of alleged sexual abuse made by a 24-year-old journalist against the Vélez players
Sebastián Sosa, Abiel Osorio, José Florentín and Braian Cufré
in a hotel in San Miguel de Tucumán, the course of the investigation is advancing.
Although specific details have not yet been provided, it is expected that one of the next steps will be the victim's statement, possibly in the Gesell Chamber, with the aim that she can provide her testimony comprehensively in a single instance during the process.
As explained by the Justice, this procedure could slow down the progress of the case, since the young woman's lawyer,
Patricia Neme
, must request an appointment to carry it out.
Once the prosecutor's office collects all relevant evidence, including the victim's statement, it must determine whether to proceed with the investigation or dismiss the complaint.
Subsequently,
a hearing will be held to formulate charges, where the accusation of the accused will be formalized
.
This step is crucial, since so far the four footballers have been reported but have not yet been charged with any crime.
Another key piece of information is that in the last few hours some messages exchanged between one of the footballers and the complainant also came to light.
These conversations, which are available to Justice, are part of the ongoing file.
According to the young woman's complaint,
the goalkeeper, Sebastián Sosa, would have been the first to establish contact
with her through social networks to invite her to the Hilton hotel where they were concentrated.
"I'm Seba. So you come to the hotel and we'll have something here?"
, says Sosa in the chat that was revealed.
To which the victim asks:
"What hotel are you at?"

"At the Hilton
," Sosa responds.
"I pass by the casino
," she says.
What the lawyer said
Patricia Neme, the victim's attorney, stated that the complainant is currently experiencing post-traumatic stress as a result of the incident.
She highlighted the support the young woman is receiving from the judicial system, her family and her friends.
Neme reported that the contact between the victim and the Vélez soccer players began in the mixed zone of the José Fierro stadium
, after a match between Atlético and Vélez last Saturday.
After exchanging messages on Instagram, the young woman agreed to give her WhatsApp number to Sebastián Sosa, thus starting a conversation.
The lawyer also mentioned that they suspect that the victim may have been drugged through an alcoholic beverage, which would have contributed to her state of discomfort.
Tests have been performed, including toxicological tests, the results of which are still pending.
Although the young woman was not in a position to give consent during the alleged abuse and was dizzy, the lawyer indicated that she retains fragmentary memories of her time in the room.
After two of the accused left for the casino, the victim managed to contact an Uber and leave the place, feeling hurt and outraged.
Finally, the lawyer pointed out that the victim decided to file the complaint after a trusted person convinced her to do so.
Currently, they are in the evidentiary and investigative stage, with the case classified as
"sexual abuse with carnal access aggravated by the plurality of perpetrators
. "
