The imposing building from the beginning of the 20th century has no longer accommodated patients since 2004, when the Berthinot-Juel hospital, in Chaumont-en-Vexin (Oise), was transferred to a more modern extension more adapted to the practice of medicine.
But, in its new premises, the establishment has lost none of its vocation: it still welcomes thousands of patients, whether for consultations, radiology or even ultrasound.
Because it is with the “local hospital” label that the establishment will officially celebrate its 100 years of existence.
“In truth, it is a little older,” explains Christine Louchet, director of the hospital.
The project was initiated in 1913 and completed in 1922. September 21, 1924 was the date of its inauguration by Justin Godart, the Minister of Labor, Hygiene, Assistance and Social Welfare in the government of Édouard Herriot, and Pierre Linares, prefect of Oise.
