At the “Kölner Treff” Uschi Glas talked about her beginnings as an actress and reported what she bought with her first fee.
Cologne – At the “Kölner Treff” on March 8, 2024, Uschi Glas (80), among others, talked about her eventful life.
The actress and author of “I was never a darling” reported, among other things, how difficult it was in her youth to not just subordinate herself in life as a woman.
She also had to fight for the start of her acting career.
So Uschi Glas started her acting career against her father's wishes
“Back then it was like that for us: the father has the last word,” said the 80-year-old about her childhood.
Even back then, she found it more difficult to comply than her siblings and was often punished by having to sit alone at the “cat table”.
And even in later years, Uschi Glas, who was pressured into marriage by film producers, apparently knew how to enforce her will against her father's.
As moderator Micky Beisenherz (46) noted, she gave her father the next shock when she decided to become an actress instead of a secretary.
Uschi Glas reported that she had gone to Hameln to take part in a film.
She then called him from there because her thought was: “Then he can’t catch me anymore.”
As she said, she didn't come back, even though he asked for it on the phone, because she was 21, after all, an adult.
“Male Nude”: Micky Beisenherz comments on Uschi Glas’s purchase
Uschi Glas apparently also received money for her first stint as an actress and used it to buy a sports car.
“I think it’s almost a very masculine act,” noted Beisenherz.
But the 80-year-old made it clear: “The fee was so small, I had to pay it off.” When asked what model the car was, the actress revealed: “The so-called 'Glaserati'” and got a laugh.

Apparently, however, this wasn't a joke and the name wasn't her own invention: the car came from a car company called “Glas” and that's why many people thought that Uschi Glas came from this family, she revealed.
A new colleague once said to her: “It makes me so sick when a rich cow like that comes along and takes the job away from the others.”
She then had to clarify that, despite her last name, she had nothing to do with the automobile company.
Uschi Glas has apparently finally made peace with her son Ben Tewaag.
