In practice, at this stage, the American and French mediation failed to bear fruit and lead to agreements by both sides.
The IDF is preparing if needed in southern Lebanon and is sliding towards a war which, according to the signs, if peace is not achieved, will break out soon.

Sources in the security system claim that it is very possible that the prime minister is waiting for a change of government in the United States in order to receive more significant backing and pressure on Iran, which is pushing Hezbollah into a confrontation with Israel.
