The
murder of a woman, apparently at the hands of her partner
, shook the town of Open Door this Saturday morning.
The event took place a few hours after 8M, a day on which International Women's Day was commemorated with the fight against gender violence as one of the main flags.
The episode happened at the door of the humble home located on Buenos Aires and Echeverría streets in that town belonging to the Luján district, where
the victim, 33 years old
, lived with her four children, ages 7, 8, 12 and 14. .
According to the details provided by local media, the alleged femicide,
a 27-year-old man from the city of Mercedes,
who had a recent and conflictive relationship with Natalia Galardo, approached there, according to members of the woman's family. .
Apparently, they met during the early morning,
argued and everything ended in a tragic way
.
Galardo was left lying on the grass, in the rain, after having received some blows and, mainly,
at least three stab wounds
, one in the neck and two in the chest.
This is how the eldest of her children found her and immediately afterward the Police were notified by calling 911.
After collecting different testimonies, investigators identified a man identified as Gustavo Lucero as a possible femicide.
The image of this man began to be viralized on social networks by the victim's family.
Hours later, the Police arrested him in the town of Tomás Jofré, in the Mercedes district.

The suspect was accused of "homicide aggravated by the bond and for being perpetrated by a man against a woman." On Monday he must testify in court.

The networks were flooded with farewell messages for Galardo, from his family, friends and acquaintances.
“My queen, my example of a warrior woman,” were the words that her sister wrote and which she accompanied with several photos of the victim and her children.
Later, upon hearing the news that the suspect had been arrested, he thanked “the Open Door police station” and sent a very harsh message to Lucero.

The Municipality of Luján also referred to the fact through an official statement.
“With deep pain and indignation, one day after #8M, from the Directorate of Gender and Diversity, dependent on the Secretariat of Human Development, we must inform the community of Luján of the femicide of Natalia, a 33-year-old woman,” he noted.
