Occurring only twenty days after the deadly attack in Romans-sur-Isère, the Colombes attack on April 27, 2020, served as a reminder that Islamist terrorism could strike at any time, even in full confinement.
The trial of its author, Youssef Tihlah, born June 24, 1990 in Lunéville (Meurthe-et-Moselle), opens this Monday in Paris before the specially composed assize court.
Unknown to the anti-terrorist services at the time of the events, he is on trial until March 15 for “attempted assassinations on persons holding public authority in relation to a terrorist enterprise”.
