The criticism of the big hit shows by Florian Silbereisen, Giovanni Zarrella and Co. does not subside: Now Klaus Baumgart (Klaus and Klaus) is also speaking out.
Hamburg – As is well known, taste can be debated: for some, the big hit shows with Florian Silbereisen (42) or Giovanni Zarrella (46) are an absolute must, while others have long had enough.
This also applies to Klaus Baumgart (69), founding member of the North German hit duo Klaus and Klaus (“On the North Sea Coast”).
The Oldenburg-born singer is in good company with his criticism.

When I switch on, I'm sometimes not sure whether the current show or the one from the previous year is being broadcast." That's why he misses formats like the "ZDF Hit Parade", which existed from 1969 to 2000.
ARD has already responded to criticism of hit shows
The problem is not new: In 2021, IPPEN.MEDIA confronted ARD with criticism that the music programs were not being made varied enough.
At the time, they justified themselves in a statement as follows: “
In our entertainment shows, we continue to attach great importance to giving a wide range of artists a platform: young artists also find their appearance, as do big names in the show and music industry as well as stars who are currently making a name for themselves – also from the region.
This mix will not change in the future.”
Hit shows now too monotonous?

For one or two viewers, Silbereisen and Co. are now far too monotonous: permanent guests such as Beatrice Egli (35), Ross Antony (49), Maite Kelly (44) and DJ Ötzi (53) are in almost every new edition is part of the game - anyone hoping for variety often looks down the drain.
An example of this development is last year's “Schlagerbooom”, in which almost only covers and old songs were performed - a circumstance that many fans criticized directly during the broadcast.

The big hit shows have not been varied enough for Klaus Baumgart for a long time - a judgment with which the singer is not alone.

There is a system behind the fact that ARD and ZDF often rely on the same guests: on the one hand, they want to appeal to the broadest possible audience, but on the other hand, they are sticking to a concept that has proven itself over the years.
The big Saturday evening shows in particular still achieve good ratings in the millions - despite the criticism.
In a sense, the success proves that the broadcasters are right.
By the way, fans don't have to wait long for the next TV highlight: on March 16th at 8:15 p.m. the first will show “The Big Hit Anniversary,” where Florian Silbereisen is supposed to be surprised.
