After the crimes of two taxi drivers and a beachgoer in hitman attacks linked to drug gangs, the Government of Javier Milei announced that a crisis committee
was formed
to
intervene in the city of Rosario
with the federal security forces and the Armed Forces.
The decision was announced in a statement published by the Office of the President on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
"In this way, the Federal Police, the National Gendarmerie, the Naval Prefecture, the Airport Security Police and the Penitentiary Service will assist the Santa Fe Police in the fight against drug trafficking," details the official text.
In addition, it announces that the Armed Forces have been empowered to
provide assistance in internal security operations
, under the terms of article 27 of Law 24,059.
"The National Government is determined to confront the drug trafficking mafia and the hitmen who established a regime of death and terror in the city of Rosario. Not a single step back will be taken. The people of Rosario are going to recover the streets and their freedom," addition.
