Hotel industry: the Price Observatory is pschitt
After months of negotiations in Bercy, the Hotel Room Price Observatory, which was to see the light of day before the Olympics, is buried.
“The hoteliers derailed the project,” complains someone close to the matter.
They agreed in principle and, at the last moment, they warned that they would not provide the data.
» However, concessions were granted to them: displaying trends rather than exact prices, ensuring confidentiality… But the main federations in the sector and large hotel groups did not want to know anything.
Platforms like Airbnb or Booking.com seemed ready to provide their data.
