Change at the top of the Kochler local group in the German Alpine Club: Felix Gerg follows Günther Stingl.

The group has 140 members.

Kochel am See - After nine years in office, the chairman of the Kochler local group in the German Alpine Association (DAV), Günther Stingl, has now handed over his voluntary position to younger hands.

The general meeting at the Gasthof Post elected the Kochler business lawyer Felix Gerg as his successor.

Within the Tutzing section of the German Alpine Club, which was founded in 1903 and is the owner of the managed “Tutzinger Hütte” below the Benediktenwand, there are three local groups: Penzberg, Seeshaupt and Kochel.

The latter was founded 100 years ago and has a special significance because it largely takes care of the hut and the heavily frequented network of paths in the area.

The Kochler local group has 140 members and a two-person local group board, but not a complete board with a secretary and treasurer in accordance with association law, because it is located in Tutzing.

The new local group chairman Gerg has also been an active member of the local mountain rescue service for 25 years and has now announced that he would like to reactivate the local group's club life.

Manfred Fischer remains in office as the second local director.
