Herrsching's parishes are calling for a demonstration at the lake on March 16th

Herrsching

– The pastors in Herrsching have a good relationship, so good that there are sometimes transfers of ideas.

Almost at the same time, the idea of calling a meeting for democracy and human rights arose in both the Herrsching parish council and the Protestant Three Lakes community, revealed the Catholic priest Simon Rapp on Thursday at the local meeting in Breitbrunn.

So why not join forces?

What's more - numerous clubs and institutions join in when the two churches call for a large rally on Saturday, March 16th.

“In Herrsching, too, citizens, initiatives and parties are taking a stand against racism and misanthropy,” says the Protestant pastor Ulrich Haberl, who has taken over the organization.

With the rally on Saturday, the participants want to stand up for diversity and human rights.

“We don’t want a return to nationalism and fascism.

We stand for strengthening democratic forces in the state and society,” says the call for the rally.

The motto is: “We are colorful,” because people from 95 nations lived in Herrsching.

In addition

The demonstration starts at 2:30 p.m. with a short opening event at the old sports field by the lake.

With the sound of drums from the “Sambavaria” group, the procession then goes along the lake promenade to the spa gardens.

At the final rally at around 3:30 p.m., historian Dr.

Friedrike Hellerer.

Ricardo Volkert and Ludwig Himpsl will provide the music.

The organizers are happy about pointed and humorous banners.

The initiative for the demonstration comes from the Catholic and Protestant parishes.

It is supported by numerous Herrschinger organizations.

The following have already made their commitment: the asylum helper group of the local Agenda 21, Alliance 90/The Greens, Herrsching Citizens' Community, Café BlaBla, CSU, the Gymnasium Support Association, FDP, Breitbrunn Horticultural Association, Herrschinger Insel, Herrschinger Sailing Club, Herrsching Aid Service, DO IT Initiative, India Aid, Catholic Women's Association Herrsching, Kindergarten Children's Club, Ammersee Artists' Circle, Cultural Association, Starnberg State Association for Bird Protection, Maria 2.0, the Pro Natur Association, the Herrsching Senior Citizens' Advisory Board, the Vierseenland DAV Section, SPD, the Herrsching Table, the Association for Archeology and History, Volt Ammersee-Oberland and the “We can do it” association.

There are also businesses such as AkuRat Immobilien and the coffee roasting company at Ammersee and possibly many more.

At least that's what the organizers want.

Organizers and police expect 700 to 800 participants.

Since they move along the bank, but at Seewinkel they move further towards the spa park via public traffic areas, the police will briefly intervene there in terms of traffic law and close the road, says deputy head of inspection Christian Schäffler in an interview with Starnberger Merkur.
