VfB is back: Although Hallbergmoos didn't set off any fireworks in the 1-0 win against Eggenfelden, they could soon be among the promotion candidates again.

- During the winter break, the VfB Hallbergmoos footballers agreed that they had to start with a convincing series if they wanted to have a serious say in the promotion relegation campaign.
It was assumed that five to six strong performances would be needed.
In fact, two work victories were enough to get a taste of the top again.
Because after the 1-0 (0-0) against SSV Eggenfelden, the gap to second in the table has melted from ten to four points.
It was an icy Friday evening in the stadium at the airport.
The thermometer showed four degrees - and for some spectators that was the coldest four degrees of their lives.
There was no splendor and glory, which is why the 90 minutes were not particularly suitable for warming things up.
A sobering first half from both sides
The first half ended with a completely justified zero score.
Although VfB started better, they did not achieve the desired result with two or three half-chances.
As a result, Lower Bavaria gained a perceived advantage by winning numerous duels - but without posing a goal threat.
The performance of VfB goalkeeper Tobias Heckl, who represented David Hundertmark, who was in bed with a fever of 40 degrees, could not really be evaluated to date.

The guests now collapsed completely, while VfB kept getting through on the left side via substitute Mateus Hones.
During this phase, the home team did not make enough of the promising approaches.
The preliminary decision was certainly possible.
Hones was unlucky when one of his attempted crosses hit the crossbar.

So Hallbergmoos had to tremble again at the end.
This was also due to four free kicks from the guests near the penalty area.
Three hit the wall or missed.
In stoppage time, however, number four came straight at the goal with a cracker - but debutant Heckl made a save.
No wonder he was celebrated as the match winner after the final whistle.
And coach Christian Endler was also full of praise: “Tobi is a force on the line.”
