Altomünster – A police patrol noticed two 14-year-olds from Haimhausen around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Reason: The two boys were standing next to a vehicle with a running engine that had no license plates attached.

The officers quickly found out what it was all about: One of the two boys had taken his parents' unregistered car from the garage and taken a joyride to Altomünster with his friend.

According to the police, the whole thing happened “without the parents’ knowledge.”

The young person does not have a driving license.

He also gave the police an innocent name: According to his own statements, his friend had had this idea and had instigated him to do it.

Both young people are now being investigated criminally for a variety of crimes.
