An evasive maneuver almost had fatal consequences for a young driver in an accident in Otterfing on Friday.
Miraculously, the Wolfratshauser was not injured.
Otterfing
– A 19-year-old from Wolfratshausen had a lot of luck in an accident in Otterfing on Friday, the police said.
At around 7.45 p.m. the young man drove his VW Polo along Markweg from Otterfing towards Hofolding.
He lost control of the car - probably because he wanted to avoid a crossing animal, according to the police report.
The small car veered off the road to the right and only came to a stop after a few meters on a tree stump.
As if by a miracle, the vehicle missed the dense trees at this point.
The driver was not injured in the accident.
However, his car suffered a total loss of around 5,000 euros.
