Winter is over – at least when it comes to daytime temperatures.
Weather experts see a trend reversal in the coming weeks.
Munich – Winter is over, at least as far as the cold temperature drops are concerned.
Even meteorologist Dominik Jung is correcting his original forecast for March on
wetter.net
- instead of a return of arctic winter, mild temperatures are expected to continue throughout the rest of March.
However, there is still a small limitation.
Despite mild temperatures, unsettled weather
After the mega-sun Saturday on March 9th, Sunday is expected to be a little more subdued: “The clouds in the west and southwest are tougher,” says Jung on his weather channel
wetternet
.
“In the evening there will be raindrops from the west.” The new week is also expected to start cloudy and sunny, with temperatures between 11 and 13 degrees.
From Thursday it will become even milder, Jung predicts - up to 17 degrees are possible here.
“This is calm spring weather” – a mixture of rain, clouds and sun awaits people in Bavaria this coming weekend from March 17th.

Rain from the west – it will be warmest in Lower Bavaria
The
German Weather Service (DWD) also agrees with this forecast: “Initially clear in the morning, but as the day progresses there will be increasingly more compact clouds from the west.” The
DWD
expects rain towards the evening, especially in Swabia
.
The maximum values are between 11 and 18 degrees, but it will be mildest in parts of Lower Bavaria.
The
DWD
warns of frost - because even though it may be mild during the day, the nights are still fresh: minimum values between 7 and 0 degrees between Lower Main and Oberallgäu are certainly possible.

Rest of March weather: “No March winter expected”
The mild temperatures will continue for the rest of March: “Ten to fifteen degrees, that’s the range for the south of our country,” says Jung on
wetternet
.
There is “no March winter to be expected” in the coming weeks, although rain continues to fall.
