“When they shot, the wild boar was there,” recalls Léo, pointing to the bottom of the embankment overlooking his building.
When the wolf cubs fired to kill two wild boars, a male and a female, this Tuesday, March 5, the 12-year-old teenager heard everything.
Like his neighbors, he immediately rushed to his window to see the sow dying in the grass for several minutes.
“I was petrified,” assures the young boy.
For several months, wild boars and their wild boars have invaded part of Saint-Maximin (Oise).
The plowed lawns and the furrows left by their cloven hooves bear witness to their regular passages as close as possible to homes.
“We got used to them,” explains a resident who assures that they have never attacked anyone.
Faced with their resurgence, the prefecture hired wolf scouts to eliminate them.
Usually they operate mainly at night.
This is why the operation carried out on March 5, in broad daylight, questioned the residents.

“The children are outside a lot at the moment because it’s the school holidays,” David gets annoyed.
“They are pests, I agree, but these are not the way to do things,” he continues, confiding that he is worried about the fate of the dozen orphans, now orphans, who wander around his residence.
