The commander of the Southern Command Major General Yaron Finkelman wrote a command note to the commander of the 99th Division Brigadier General Barak Hiram about the explosion of the university under which an underground system was built.
The incident took place about a month and a half ago in the southern Gaza Strip.
The inspection of the incident shows that this was not approved by the senior ranks of the army, despite the fact that the building posed a risk to the forces.

As mentioned, Brigadier General Hiram is awaiting the Chief of Staff's decision regarding his decision to fire a tank at a house where Israeli civilians were being held by Hamas terrorists.
A military official: "This is a legal complication that they are trying to examine."
Along with this, sources in the IDF estimate that Brigadier General Hiram's chance of receiving command of the Gaza Division is very slim.
