The strong dispute continues between producers and the Government of Axel Kicillof over the increase in rural real estate in the province of Buenos Aires.
In January, the new scale approved for rural real estate by the Buenos Aires legislature began to take effect, ranging from 140% to 200%, but producers warn that bills arrived with increases higher than established, of up to 500%.
From the Liaison Table of the province of Buenos Aires, made up of the Argentine Rural Society, the Argentine Agrarian Federation, Carbap and Coninagro, they asked Governor Kicillof to
postpone the expiration
of the first installment of rural real estate, which, according to the unions, There are a "huge number of inconsistencies found in the ballots issued by ARBA."
"These irregularities in many cases
exceed the limits approved
in the Tax Law 2024 for the different scales of rural establishments," the entities said.
From the Buenos Aires Liaison Table they stated that, if it is not corrected, "
it will be declared in a state of alert
, given the impossibility of producers facing such increases."

The contributory capacity of producers is exhausted
, and any excessive increase will promote action against what is considered a true outrage," they warned.
Response from the Province
"
There is no such increase. There is nothing above 500%
," clarified sources from the Ministry of Agrarian Development of the province of Buenos Aires.
"We have received ballots from the Agrarian Federation and Coninagro and it was shown that there was no such increase," they added.
It should be remembered that the Buenos Aires legislature approved increases depending on the tax base.
The 2012 valuation, which was made by former governor Daniel Scioli at the time, was given a new tax base multiplied by 12.05%.
Therefore,
the new scales remained as follows by law regarding the tax rate paid in 2023
: 140% for land free of improvements of up to $3,544,400;
180% between $3,544,400 to $8,127,288, inclusive;
190% between $8,127,288 and $19,986,324;
and 200% of $19,986,324 up to $198,940,000 of tax value.
Above $198,940,000 in tax value there is no 200% limit (10% of producers are in this scale).
As a clarification, the Ministry of Agrarian Development said that "
the 200% limit is applied to the fee payable
."
According to what they revealed,
in the province there are 300,000 items in total
and the problem occurs in 2,000 items that exceed the tax base ($198,940,000) that have no limit.
Assembly
This Monday there was an assembly in San Pedro with more than 100 producers to analyze the issue.
There were producers from Suipacha, Colón, Peréz Millan, Carmen de Areco, San Antonio de Areco, Carabellas, San Pedro, Baradero, Pergamino, Ramallo, Bragado, Capitán Sarmiento, Salto, Arrecifes and Rojas.
The assembly members who participated in the meeting requested the "
refusal to pay
the present fee until the fees are rolled back to a maximum of 200% increase, the discount for good compliance and automatic debit is restored and the fifth fee is eliminated, even unimplemented",
"If a favorable reaction is not verified, the rural authorities have been commissioned to call for a large reaction that also considers the situation of urban real estate and patents," added the statement after the assembly.
