Former president
Alberto Fernández,
who could recently be seen in Bolivia participating in a conference on financial architecture,
complained
about the inflation rates recorded during the
three months of
Javier Milei's
government
and, with a particular cut, compared his management with that of the libertarian to finish his intervention with a request: he urged
the President to “change the course” of the economy.
The former president, who spent most of his time since leaving the presidency in Madrid, where his wife Fabiola Yañez and his youngest son settled,
used social networks
to give his opinion on the known February inflation rate. this Tuesday, which marked an increase of 13.2% compared to January.
“Inflation during the December-February period has reached almost 60%.
The adjustment policy
is
plunging the economy into a deep depression
, with social consequences of great magnitude,” expressed Fernández in his economic analysis and after leaving an inflationary record in his own management, with Sergio Massa as Minister of Economy. .
He also highlighted what he defined as “the alarming 12.4% drop in the Manufacturing Industrial Production Index (IPIM)” during January.
And he stated that this “obliges us to direct public attention to this situation.”
Alberto Fernández participated on Monday in the New Regional Financial Architecture seminar in Santa Cruz (Bolivia).

Fernández, accused of the insurance scandal and dismissal of the leadership of the Justicialista Party as new since he left the Presidency, considered that “less production, less employment, less consumption and more marginalization are the
direct consequences of the policies
implemented by the national government ”.
“These data take us back to
the most critical moments in our history,
demanding an immediate change of course by the government,” he added in an
imperative turn
in his speech.
Then he explained what, in his opinion, are the consequences of what he called “
debacle
.”
According to Fernández, the high economic indices that the Milei administration still records “lead to an
uncontrolled increase in prices
, an increase in unemployment, an increase in poverty and economic stagnation.”
Fernández poured everything into a thread of two posts on the X network in which
he omitted all self-criticism
.
He maintained, in turn, that the drop in production “is the result of the economic policies
of this administration
.”
Finally, he asked the Government to stop “lying” to citizens and urged Milei to change its economic policies.
“Enough lying to the Argentinian men and women.
“It is time to change course
,” he urged, recklessly.
The consequences of this debacle lead to an uncontrolled increase in prices, an increase in unemployment, an increase in poverty and economic stagnation.
The drop in production is a result of the economic policies of this administration.

His reflections were made in two messages published on his X account. One of them was accompanied by official information from INDEC, while to the second
he added a comparative table
of economic indices of his management and that of Milei, in a selection of author.
In the comparison, Fernández
took the data from January 2023
, while he was in charge of the Executive, and contrasted it with that of the same period this year, the first full month of Milei's government.
The former president proposed the Industrial Manufacturing Production Index (INDEC), the National Automobile Production Index (ADEFA) and the Industrial Production Index (CAME) for data comparison.
Adorni's response to Fernández: "You have been responsible for one of the worst governments in history"
The one who came out to Fernández was the presidential spokesperson,
Manuel Adorni,
through his X account. The official said that the former president
"has been responsible for one of the worst governments in history
. "
To justify his consideration, Adorni listed what he called "some issues" that represented the Fernández government.
"Inflation, insecurity, decay, poverty and global isolation are just some of the issues that you have most faithfully represented."
Dear Alberto: you have been responsible for one of the worst governments in history.
Inflation, insecurity, decay, poverty and global isolation are just some of the issues that you have most faithfully represented.

He argued that Kirchnerist officials "have professed apathy, impoverishing and mortgaging the future of so many" and, therefore, they must "finally understand" that Argentines chose
"to move forward, leaving populism and deception behind."
"It has been decided to have a dignified and prosperous future: to achieve this, I inform you that some issues will no longer be part of the path," he concluded.
By way of closing, Adorni did not opt for his classic catchphrase "Fin", but limited himself to sending "regards" to the former president.
