An institution as Derblecker for decades: Professor Dr.
Alfons Hofstetter received a lot of applause.

At the strong beer tapping of the CSU and Free Voters in Unterhaching, Krügl speaker Alfons Hofstetter rumbles through the usual tableau of topics.
Unterhaching
– Where the gods are missing, ghosts rule.
No, the early romantic poet Novalis was written by Professor Dr.
Alfons Hofstetter was not quoted that evening.
To achieve this, the man in his mid-eighties, a fully educated citizen, often uses Latin in his Krügl speech, but as a former deputy mayor he can also be people-oriented and realistic: “Schwoammas obe” is the custom that regularly tops off his political punch lines while tapping strong beer in the Hachinga Hall.
This Friday evening it is half full, around 150 CSU and Free Voters supporters came.
Hofstetter is considered an authority with legendary status
Hofstetter made his comeback as a derblecker last year.
He is considered an authority with legendary status here and yes: someone has to do the job.
It may also say something about the state of the two local associations that the professor is being tried again.
It's not spooky, but it's also rarely witty.
Mayor Wolfgang Panzer (SPD) sits in the middle and is somehow dutiful, “but doesn't want to say anything today,” he says.
Third Mayor Richard Raiser (CSU) is there to tap the barrel, with CSU chairman Korbinian Rausch wielding the hammer.
It is said that his party colleague, state parliament member Kerstin Schreyer, canceled for health reasons.
From Berlin, via Bavaria to Unterhaching and back
Alfons Hofstetter then gives a far-reaching speech, his tableau of topics ranges from Berlin, through Bavaria to Unterhaching and back.
At the end there will be a standing ovation, short, but still, although it is not entirely clear whether the applause is aimed at Hofstetter's rude mockery or whether it is due to the fact that he is being sarcastic again.
“The man was already an institution when I was young,” explains a viewer when asked whether he liked it.
Other voices say: “Everything said right.”
A bit of Franz Josef Strauss light
It's not Hofstetter's business to be subtle, Haudrauf is his supreme discipline, Derblecker is the enforcer.
A bit of Franz Josef Strauss light.
There is the (expected?) traffic light scolding with the usual criticism clubs such as the nuclear power phase-out, increase in citizens' benefits, “manipulation of voting rights” and climate glue scolding.
In short: “The traffic light was left on for too long!”, says Hofstetter.
Consequence: Liberal democracy is in danger.
And: “Radical Islam does not belong to Germany.” Which is probably intended somehow to address former Chancellor Angela Merkel and former Federal President Christian Wulff.
But Wulff never said anything about being radical.
You could have googled it.
“Florian Hahn, you have to take action!”
With a view to the current wiretapping affair, Hofstetter urges forward defense: “Florian Hahn, you have to take action!” he demands boldly.
Hahn is defense policy spokesman for the Union parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
And the “Strack-Zimmermann should be placed in the north”.
Aha.
In general, Greens and women are particularly fond of the derbleaching Hofstetter.
“They give out more mustard than Develey ever produced,” he says to the Green faction of the local council.
Sabine Streichl (SPD) is the “party noodle of Unterhaching”.
And as far as Wolfgang Panzer is concerned: “Recognizable chain of office, even if not required.” He finds it rather incomprehensible that there are also films available to borrow in the community library.

After all, Hofstetter doesn't shy away from his own ranks: “Demo-hopping Aiwanger”, “opinionated Söder” – these are such quick labels.
And it's Latin again: “Trump ante portas!” The ghosts of the past are more present than ever.
