A police officer arrested in Essonne last week for domestic violence is currently on the run, we learned from a source close to the case, confirming information from Politis.
A judicial investigation was opened with the issuance of an arrest warrant for this agent, now registered in the wanted persons file (FPR).
Xavier P., a 45-year-old police officer, was sentenced on September 13 by the Essonne Assize Court to ten years in prison for rape and domestic violence against three women between 2008 and 2014. After two months of detention , he was released after appealing the decision, his judicial control having been deemed sufficient by the courts.
New domestic violence
A decision which scandalized the victims, who described the verbal and then physical violence of which they accused the police officer.
They claim that the latter regularly intimidated them with a knife or a weapon, sometimes going so far as to rape them.
“I am outraged by this decision.
Since it came out, I've been scared, my loved ones have been scared for me.
I am afraid of reprisals,” one of the complainants told us at the time.
Everyone was convinced that he would do it again.
“We said it!”
exclaims, upset, one of the victims reached by telephone this Tuesday.
Justice is crazy.
We had warned him, today he is on the run.
It's a nightmare.

Despite his judicial control, the police officer would have reoffended.
He was arrested and placed in police custody at the Juvisy-sur-Orge police station last week, again for domestic violence committed in the town.
The forty-year-old then asked to see a doctor, who issued him with a “custody incompatibility” for health reasons.
The Évry public prosecutor's office - which we were unable to contact at this time - then decided to lift the custody of Xavier P., who was subsequently admitted to hospital.
The man then allegedly slipped away from the establishment without reporting himself, triggering the arrest warrant.
A regional broadcast has been carried out, all police services in Île-de-France have been notified.
