Even Marilyn Monroe, 62 years after her death, will live again thanks to artificial intelligence: it will allow fans to converse with the actress who will be able to respond "with Marilyn's characteristic voice and style", according to the American technology company AI Soul Machines who launched the project.
Digital Marilyn, explains the Variety magazine website, is an interactive experience that "shares anecdotes and even offers personalized greetings, creating an unforgettable experience for fans".
The chatbot allows you to interact "in real time using advanced natural language processing and deep learning and GPT 3.5," Soul Machines said.
“Each interaction is unique,” the company said, “Digital Marilyn analyzes preferences and adapts its responses accordingly, fostering a genuine connection that resonates individually.”
The average duration of a conversation is 20 minutes.
The Digital Marilyn project is the latest in a series of generative AI initiatives involving celebrities who are no longer with us.
Such as the animated biopic of French singer Edith Piaf which will use artificial intelligence to create a clone of her voice and image thanks to AI and the experiment on John Lennon's voice from a tape recorded in 1978 which allowed the two Beatles survivors, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, to finish the song Now And Then.
Finally, there is also a project about Elvis Presley: a hologram of him will debut in 2024 for a show that will tour in various cities.
