The holiday of Purim is approaching and with it the various halachic issues and customs.

One of the topics that comes up on the agenda - before the holiday of Purim, is the custom of dressing up on Purim, a popular custom especially among the youth.

The Rebbe, Rabbi Yosiah Pinto, addressed the issue in his last lesson. According to him, "You should know that in ancient times in Morocco they did not dress up, and even the great ancient scribes came out firmly not to dress up on Purim, and feared that 'a man would not wear a woman's dress.'

The custom of the Gentiles."

Rabbi Pinto added: "And many quoted the words of Rabbi Hida Zatzuk'l in the book "The Heart of David" (Pacht) and this is his language: and in my eyes the matter is simple, that if all of Israel this day when Amalek's seed was slaughtered will fall, and this evil manna will fall A head from a wicked house, they follow the order of holiness, and the joy was sacred to heaven, and the rest of the day we engage in the Torah, each according to his lesson, with this reward we would be redeemed from the redemption of the world forever."

"Vashush Mahari Mintz (Si Tu) who was one of the last of the first ones about five hundred years ago, brings this custom of dressing up on Purim.

And the fact is known in "Chazon Ish" that on the day of Purim a man came to his house, his five-year-old daughter was dressed as a boy.

And the chazon reprimanded him and took a cloth from his house and told him to cover his daughter."

According to him, "Here in Morocco in ancient times they did not dress up, and certainly he would not wear women's clothes, which is not allowed.

But we have the words of the sons of Issachar (Month of Adar article 9) and this is his language, the custom of Israel Torah is, they used to change into different clothes during the meal and the joy of Purim, and it is not an empty word.

And continues our rabbi, Bnei Issachar Zetzuk'l, I tell you what is with my heart, I found, I saw in the holy light... (Parashat Shelah) and ends and this is the language, and from now on yours before you is the custom of Israel Torah, that they used to dress in different clothes at the time of joy in memory of the miracle and wonder that took place May God be blessed with Mordecai and Esther who clothed themselves in precious spiritual garments, what the righteous wear in heaven."

Rabbi Pinto also brought: "And it is mentioned in the holy book "Maor and Shemesh" (Shemot Parashat Mishpatim) in this language, it is appropriate to give a reason to praise the custom of Israel who used to wear the clothes of foreigners on Purim. Likewise, ita Nami in the holy book "Sheft Emet" (Purim) and this is its language , and it is possible to give an allusion to the custom of Israel to change clothes on Purim, to allude, etc. We also find in many other holy scriptures that explain the purpose of the custom and give it a reason to praise."

He brought an incident that happened with Rama Zatzal: "And the incident is known to our Rabbi Rama Zatzal, who died in Lage B'Omer, 33 years old. And they eulogized him to the Lord of the eulogies and they were arrested. Then one of the tzaddiks who were in Belaia stood up and added one eulogy, Sha'purim The Rama wore a mask and it was the Lage's obituary and they saw it as a great sign, and wrote many deep secrets about it.

Likewise, the holy rabbi Rabbi Zadok of Lublin Zatzukal in his book "Likoti Amrim" (Letter 16) writes, it is a custom to make all kinds of shakha on Purim. And the custom of Israel Torah is according to the way it is said "Yosh in the sky will shakha, the Lord will mock him" which is a big shakha in the sky, when The hope of the wicked and the nations of the world will be turned from the opposite to the opposite."

In summing up his words, the Rebbe's teacher Rabbi Pinto pointed out to the members of the 'Shuba Yisrael' community how it is proper to dress up in practice: Only for holy, righteous and devout things, to instill in the little children the love of God and reverence for God, surely they will not seek the children for impure things. They will also make sure that no one wears a woman's clothing and no woman wears a man's clothing, because this thing is very harmful to the soul and to the little ones."

At the end, Rabbi Pinto added about the virtue of the approaching Yom Purim: "And let a person put before his eyes that on Purim one can achieve great things, and everyone who stretches out a hand will be given to him. And G-d gives things that during the year He does not give.

It is a time of salvation and mercy, certainly in the way a person wants to go, they lead him.

And if a person walks in holiness, God leads him in holiness and purity."
