Anti-mafia operation by the Caltanissetta State Police which carried out 55 precautionary measures throughout Italy.
The order was issued by the investigating judge of Caltanissetta, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate.
The suspects are accused, for various reasons, of mafia association, fictitious registration of assets, extortion and drug trafficking.
Crimes aggravated by the availability of weapons, including war weapons, and explosives.
500 agents from various State Police offices took part in the operation and also carried out searches for weapons and drugs.
