Manassé, Bachar, Ahmed, Gaëtan and Boniface are between 20 and 26 years old.

What do they have in common?

All come from political districts of the city, in Corbeil-Essonnes, Évry-Courcouronnes, Grigny or Ris-Orangis.

And all of them are already pursuing higher education in IT and digital fields.

These five students won the Essonne final of the second edition of the Kesk'IA program, aiming to train “1,000 talents in artificial intelligence (AI)”.

This competition, aimed at young people from priority neighborhoods, was launched by the start-up Evolukid, specializing in training young people in new technologies.

The objective is to introduce companies to talents working on AI.

An anti-harassment ChatGPT

The small group of students created “E-confident”, an emotional support chatbot.

This computer program, capable of holding a conversation, is activated when the AI detects hateful messages in conversations.

Victims can therefore ask questions to know how to react, what to do... A type of anti-harassment ChatGPT, as a first form of response to online bullying situations experienced by young people.

Kesk'IA and its intensive coaching make visible the lack of network of young people from priority neighborhoods, which can slow down their professional integration.

“When my daughter started her studies during Covid, she was lost,” says Brice, father of a student from another group.

“This kind of project gives value to our profile.

We want to show that we too exist,” explains Gaëtan.

The team leaves with dreams in their heads.

“Why not go internationally to present our services?

We can only be ambitious,” laughs Manassé.

But first, the E-confident project will be compared to those of the other departmental finalists at the international VivaTech exhibition, a major event for technological innovation organized in Paris in May.

The winning team will win a trip to Silicon Valley in the United States to meet the leaders of digital innovation.

And perhaps seize new opportunities in the field of AI.
