A couple was arrested on Sunday morning in Lyon following information that a woman was likely to make explosives in her apartment and resell them via social networks.
A home located in the 8th arrondissement of Lyon in which a kilo of explosives was found.

According to a police source contacted Monday by
Le Figaro
, the
“first option was ruled out”

According to the regional daily
Le Progrès
, the explosives seized would be TATP or acetone peroxide, a product that can be manufactured with commercially available products.
The national anti-terrorism prosecution has not taken up the matter for the moment.
This is the same TATP that was used in May 2019 by Mohamed Hichem Medjoub in front of the Brioche Dorée bakery on rue Victor-Hugo.
An attack which will be judged in spring 2025 in Paris and which caused 14 minor injuries.
On Sunday, the TATP was neutralized by deminers after the arrest of the couple and eight explosions could be heard in the Clos Layat sector.
The suspects were known to the services for criminal records linked to banditry.
They were taken into custody for
