Two pedestrians died after being hit today in Rome.
An 81-year-old elderly man was hit by a car late in the morning in Viale Sacco e Vanzetti in Colli Aniene.
The driver stopped to help.
He was taken to hospital for alcohol and drug tests.
Shortly after midday, in Viale Spartaco in the Tuscolana area, a car hit an 89-year-old who was taken to hospital in very serious conditions and later died.
The driver, a 38-year-old, was subjected to the ritual tests for alcohol and drug use.
Local police investigations are underway to reconstruct the dynamics of the two accidents.
