New clues in 1999 murder case: Two suspects arrested

Last week, new information led to the investigation being reopened.

As a result, a 49-year-old suspect from Arnstein and a 66-year-old suspect from Würzburg were arrested at the weekend.

At the request of the Würzburg public prosecutor's office, both were brought before the investigating judge, who issued arrest warrants on the strong suspicion of murder.

With the arrest of the two suspects, the investigations by the Würzburg criminal police have not yet been completed.

They will be continued in close cooperation with the public prosecutor's office in an investigative commission set up specifically for this purpose.

“Searches were already underway on Friday in Würzburg, Arnstein and Zellingen in various residential and business premises of the suspects and possible witnesses.
