Anyone who wants to travel at Easter this year will sometimes pay significantly less than in 2024. What last-minute bookers should pay attention to.
The Easter holidays are just around the corner in just a few weeks and many families want to take the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones.
The only question that remains is: stay at home and go on a nice trip or pack your bags and go away?
Anyone who is spontaneously thinking about booking a trip will be happy to hear that both flights and rental cars have become cheaper in many holiday destinations compared to last year.
Fly cheaper than in 2023: Where Easter vacationers now get more for their money

Holidaymakers who book flights to Antalya in Turkey have the greatest savings potential compared to 2023, as the travel search engine

found with regard to flight searches - prices have fallen by 22 percent.
This is followed by Larnaca in Cyprus with a price drop of 20 percent.
Flights to Egypt have also become 16 percent cheaper.
The latter may be due to the fact that many travelers are unsettled by the situation in Israel, which borders Egypt, and the attacks by Houthi rebels on ships in the Red Sea.
Package holidays to Hurghada are also six percent cheaper in summer, as the booking portal
HolidayCheck
has found.
The following travel destinations have also become cheaper compared to 2023:
Izmir, Türkiye: -15 percent
Victoria, Seychelles: -14 percent
Rome, Italy: -13 percent
Marrakech, Morocco: -13 percent

According to Jesse Woods from Kayak
, if you would rather go on a city trip at Easter, you should
concentrate on the travel destinations of Milan, Vienna, Dublin or Stockholm.
For them there are still flights for an average of less than 200 euros.

Easter holidaymakers cannot hope for cheaper offers everywhere.
There are particularly high price increases for flights to the Hungarian capital Budapest (+27 percent) and the sunny travel destinations Funchal (Portugal), Palermo (Italy) and Cagliari (Italy) with 24 percent each.
Rental car prices also fell in many places during the Easter holidays
The prices for rental cars have also become cheaper in some holiday countries - perfect for those holidaymakers who have planned a round trip.
According to the comparison portal Check24,
prices have
fallen the most in Portugal and Italy.
