Flash robbery, Monday evening, in Levallois-Perret.
Shortly before 7 p.m., an individual armed with a semi-automatic pistol burst into a jewelry and watch store on Rue du Président-Wilson, where he stole several luxury watches.
According to the first elements of the investigation entrusted to the departmental judicial police service (SDPJ 92), the criminal brandished a Colt-type handgun, with which he threatened the employee of the small shop.
The man, whose face was hidden by a hood and a sort of neck warmer, then allegedly stole eight watches from a drawer.
According to the site Actu 17, which reveals the information, no shots were fired and the employee, although shocked, was not injured during the robbery.
The amount of damage is currently estimated at 56,000 euros.
The criminal fled towards Paris
When the police arrived on site – themselves alerted by the private security company Verisure after the alarm was triggered in the jewelry store – the criminal had already fled, on foot, towards Paris.
The man literally vanished from this very commercial and therefore very busy district.
The searches carried out in the surrounding area up to the gates of Asnières and Champerret remained in vain, despite an appeal launched on the airwaves and the broadcasting of the individual's description to the police crews who patrolled the area.
In 2023, Hauts-de-Seine had recorded 181 armed robberies, a statistical figure that has started to rise again after several consecutive years of decline.
For the record, in 2016, 287 incidents were recorded in the department.
