A woman was sentenced Tuesday in Roanne (Loire) to six months in prison for having beaten an 11-year-old child with whom her son had fought at school and for having assaulted another 12-year-old boy.
Found guilty of violence against minors under the age of 15, followed by ITT (total incapacity for work) not exceeding eight days, the defendant, aged 36, was also sentenced by the Roanne criminal court to follow a citizenship course.
These sentences are in accordance with the requisitions of the prosecution which described as
“inadmissible”
the attitude of this mother of a 12-year-old child
“who wanted to take justice into her own hands”
.
“Regrets”
On September 29, the thirty-year-old accompanied her son to the bus stop in Saint-Germain-Lespinasse (Loire) so that he could point out a schoolboy who had allegedly attacked him a few days earlier.
She then engaged in a real settling of scores against this 11-year-old boy whom she hit in the face, knocked to the ground, before kicking him around ten times, according to witnesses at the scene.
The mother, who admitted the acts committed
“under the influence of emotion and anger”
and expressed
“regrets”
, had also violently grabbed a 12-year-old child who witnessed the scene, who was trying to alert his father by telephone of what was happening.
An adult present at the bus stop intervened to put an end to the violence.
